The BMW Motorcycle Club of Victoria is based in Melbourne and was founded by a small group of twenty members in 1975, holding its inaugural meeting on the 26th May. We're the largest BMW motorcycle club in Australia, a group of nearly 1,000 members from all over Victoria and Tasmania.
Visitors and anyone interested in joining the club are cordially invited to attend a monthly meeting. Details can be found on the Event Calendar.
We provide numerous benefits to our members, ranging from friendship to numerous social opportunities throughout the year. We even provide support for those wanting to learn more about the mechanical aspects of their beloved BMW.

VicRoads Club Permit Scheme
The VicRoads Club Permit Scheme allows Club members to ride/drive classic vehicles (25 years or older) for a limited time without the requirement of full registration. You must be a full member of our Club for 6 months before you become eligible to join The Club Permit Scheme with our Club.
Before you proceed with your Club membership and/or a Road Worthy Certificate, we advise you to contact our Club Permit Coordinator, Warrick Tovey via email, email@example.com, to establish that your vehicle would be suitable to join the Scheme with our Club.
You MUST own a BMW motorcycle to join as a full member. Proof of ownership may be required to retain this membership level. Full members have a single vote at meetings and can serve on the committee (single and family memberships have 1 vote per membership).
For people who do not own a BMW motorcycle but perhaps another brand, and want to join the club. Associate members do not have voting rights at meetings and cannot serve on the committee, but can be appointed to support roles in the club.
When joining, the person making the application is the family membership (bundle) administrator and can add their spouse or partner who is living at the same address, onto their online membership.

The Club also provides for people who want to maintain a vehicle on a club permit. If this is you, then you need to be a member of the club first, and then contact the relevant person in the club in relation to obtaining a club permit for your vehicle.
Once you have filled out your application and paid the membership fee (together with a once off joining fee) you will receive an email to advise you that your membership application has been received. All new membership applications must be approved by the club committee which meets monthly. Once your application has been approved by the committee you will be advised by email and eligible to join the club Facebook page. You are welcome to join in on club activities at any time.

More Info on Family Membership Setup
The second person in the family membership will require their own email address. If you both use the same email address you can register for a free email address for your spouse/partner at hotmail.com, gmail.com or many other free email providers. Both people in a family membership have their own login to our website and online systems. Their email address is their username. A family membership only has a single vote at meetings.
