100 Years BMW Ride for the Girls
Saturday 7 October to Sunday 8 October - Mansfield
Here is your chance to spend a weekend away with girls who like riding motorbikes. Some would say we're a bit odd but we can handle it.
Whether you ride your own bike, ride as a pillion or you've retired from riding but still enjoy the company of others who love their motorbikes, we hope you will join us for this weekend away. Sure, we want to see lots of Beemers there but if you ride something else, we'd still love to see you there.
We'll be leaving from the Lilydale departure point at 9.00 a.m. on Saturday 7 October, riding to Avenel for lunch at Fowles Wines then on to Mansfield for an overnight stay and dinner together at the Delatite Hotel. We will all celebrate all that's good about riding and your own helmet space. Naturally, drivers and others who accompany you will be joining us for dinner too.
Regional members might like to join us for lunch at Fowles Wines on Saturday. It's a beautiful venue with delicious food. You can register for lunch only if you want to meet us there. Other regional members might like to join us in Mansfield for dinner at the Delatite Hotel. Please register for the dinner if you can join us.
On Sunday morning we'll ride to Alexandra for brekky then on to Marysville to browse the Sunday morning market. What's not to like? From there, you're free to make your own way home.
Of course if you're riding pillion, we welcome your trusty rider too - this is about gathering as many females together as possible this weekend and we're not excluding anyone. If you no longer ride, please come in the car - we want you there. We could create a record female participation rate here!
Departure at 9.00 am: Shell Service Station, Maroondah Hwy (1 km east Lilydale), Lilydale, Melway map ref 38 H3.
Lunch at midday: Fowles Wines, 1175 Lambing Gully Road, Avenel, 3664.
Dinner Saturday night 6.30 pm: Delatite Hotel, 95 High Street, Mansfield, 3722.
Accommodation in Mansfield: these are a few suggestions, please book your own.
- Delatite Hotel has a selection of clean, basic rooms with shared bathroom facilities and secure parking for the bikes
- Mansfield Travellers Lodge, 116 High Street, Mansfield, has motel accommodation and is a short walk to the Delatite Hotel
- Mansfield Motel, 3 Highett Street, Mansfield is a short walk to the Delatite Hotel
Lunch and dinner will be at our own cost.
