Friday 1st December to Sunday 3 December 2023 - GS Ride
Summit to Sea Ride to celebrate 100 Years of BMW Motorrad
It's been 100 years since the first BMW motorcycle was produced. What an incredible feat in this fast paced world to know that your motorcycle has such a long history. For this reason we have put together yet another ride to celebrate our great BMW motorcycles so we hope you can join us for this weekend away.
Friday 1st December: CHANGE OF RIDE START point to Bruthen - - all participants will meet in BRUTHEN for an overnight stay. Hotel meals and fuel available. The Bruthen Caravan and Camping Park is situated through the main street over the river bridge and immediately on the right next to the town oval. All facilities plus a camp kitchen are available to you.
Saturday 2nd December: ride north to Barry Way that becomes a good dirt road to the Pinch River camping area (toilets) on Barry Way to camp overnight. There's also the option of a ride into McKillop's Bridge to see the spectacular scenery of this alpine area [about 30km trip in, return to Barry's Way will be 60km]
There will be some COLD STORAGE AVAILABLE on the support vehicle for food and beverages for Saturday night's dinner.
Sunday 3rd December: ride back south to Limestone Road (dirt road) to head west to Benambra (fuel) and Omeo (fuel).
Omeo to Hotham and then turn down the High Plains Road (dirt road) to Dargo where hotel meals and fuel are available. Overnight camping or some members may wish to head home. Dargo to Melbourne is about three hours' travel.
NOTE: Give your GS a check over, fuel up, and join us for a great weekend of riding and good company. Need your arm twisted? We don't think so. Need to check your calendar? Maybe. Then do it.
We need you to register your interest please, so planning can be fine tuned.
