GS Training/Touratech Weekend

BMWMCCVic long weekend in Carboor with Touratech

(Friday, 28th October to Tuesday, 1st November 2022)

Calling all GS riders and road riders to join us for a long weekend of GS basic training, some dirt riding and for the less adventurous, great bitumen roads to the best locations that Victoria can offer.

Touratech have offered that we come and do a ride and camp at the Carboor Hall at no charge. The Carboor reserve town hall offers great facilities (fully kitted kitchen, porcelain toilet and shower). Anyone who wants to drive and camp are very welcome. For those that don’t want to camp, accommodation is available in Wangaratta, Milawa, Beechworth, Myrtleford and Bright.

Touratech have offered to host some GS training. All levels of riders welcome.

Note; Registrations have been capped at 25 participants

Indicative Program:

Friday, 28th October 2022:

• Arrive in afternoon for those that want to get out early from Melbourne and set up camp.
• Do BBQ in evening at Carboor Hall kitchen (bring your own meat to put in fridge).

Saturday, 29th October:

• Brekky at Carboor Hall kitchen (bring your own cereal or head out for an early brekky).
• 10:30am: Commence basic GS training hosted by Touratech at the Carboor Reserve.
• Lunch and coffee will be provided by Touratech.
• 3pm: Conclude GS training.
• BBQ in evening at Carboor Hall kitchen (bring your own meat to put in fridge and get some refreshments from a town close by).

Sunday, 30th October:

• 9am: GS dirt ride - Touratech to lead or provide route options for the club to lead.
• 9am: Non-GS riders road ride.
• 12pm: Lunch in Wandiligong (next to Bright) at 5 Acres https://www.5acresbarkitchen.com/at 11 White Star Road, Wandiligong, 3744, Tel: 03 5701 4026
• After lunch: Visit https://nightingalebros.com.au/ apple orchard. 
• Return to Carboor via choice of dirt or bitumen.
• Do BBQ in evening at Carboor Hall kitchen (bring your own meat to put in fridge).

Monday, 31st October:

• 9am: Head out and do coffee, ride, lunch.
• Do BBQ in evening at Carboor Hall kitchen (bring your own meat).

Tuesday, 1st November:

• Clean, pack up and head home
